Manual and Digital Portfolio Development

 

CO121: Develop portfolio based on experience and learning during course. Conclude your portfolio with a visually engaging presentation As part of the final project, design, manufacture, package, and market a unique piece of jewellery that reflects your creativity

CO122: Compile comprehensive practical records detailing plans related to jewellery design across diverse institutional settings and cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners.

CO123: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

Approach in teaching: Interactive Practical Sessions , Theme board  , Demonstrations ,Giving tasks, Field practical , inspiration board,  Workshop ,  Laboratory industry visits,  Group and Team work

Learning activities for the students: Self-learning assignments, Effective presentation, Report writing

Class test, Semester end examinations, Assignments, Presentation, Individual projects

 

The students are required to digitize and edit their previous semester's work, projects, and assignments for the final portfolio preparation.

All design projects completed by the student must be showcased in a concise and comprehensive presentation. Effective presentation techniques, along with appropriate graphics and visual aids, should be utilized.

Portfolio should contain the following     :

  • Title page
  • Index/reference documents
  • Systematically labeled documents
  • Design sheets
  • Products/ Samples developed in previous semester
  • Internship Experience
  • Internship Certificate
  • CV highlighting the student's credibility, along with a photograph, must be included in the portfolio.

 Manufacturing & Prototyping: students are required to develop a well-constructed prototype and submit it as an essential component of their project.

 Display & Presentation

  • Design a jewellery display (Jewellery Stand, Packaging, Box Design, etc.).
  • Create a brand name and logo for your jewellery collection.
  • Present the final piece with proper lighting and styling.
  • Write a brief description card about the piece (Name, Materials Used, Concept, Price).

Phase 5: Marketing & Promotion

  • Design a poster or social media advertisement showcasing the jewellery piece.
  • Create a Social Media post/story or a small promotional video.
