This course is designed to :

  • Understand concept of design as related to textiles
  • Enhance awareness and appreciation of art and aesthetics through design

Preparation of various samples and an article of Tie and Dye using direct dyes

  • Identification of Fibers: Burning, Visual, Microscopic and Chemical
  • Natural: Cotton, Wool, Silk, Jute
  • Manmade: Viscose, Polyester, Acrylic and Nylon

  • Fancy yarns: Single & Ply yarns
