Objective: 

The course is designed to develop:

  • The aesthetic sense in decorating the textiles
  • Skills of designing in students
Unit I: 

Course Content:

  • Introduction to Designing – lines, Shapes, form, colour, texture 10 hrs
  • Application of design – Nature study 05 hrs
  • Concept of colour and design 10 hrs
  • Different colour ways and colour schemes 05 hrs
  • Various colour mediums on fabric- free hand painting using 15 hrs
  • Fabric colours, pigment dyes, metallic colour, pearl colour, puffons
  • 3 D effect (rubberized colour)
