Objective: 

1. To impart skills of Textile Designing through Corel Draw

2. To equip the students with technical skills of designing competency

3. To develop a professional approach towards the CATD designing for textiles

4. To focus on design details, creation of styles and rendering using the different media

  • Introduction to basic tools of Corel Draw:                                        30 hrs
  1. Pick tool, shape tool, Zoom tool, Freehand tool, Smart tool, Rectangle, Elipse, Graph paper, Basic shapes, Text, Eyedropper, Outline, Fill, Interactive fill tool,Grid & Rules setup, Page setup & Background, Transformation, Order, Powerclip, Bitmaps, Writing tool, color style, color patterns etc. 
  • Process of Designing                                                                            40 hrs
  1. Motif development - Geometrical, simplified, naturalized, stylized , symbolic, traditional, floral ornamental and abstract.
  2. Growth of Motif - Enlarging and Reducing.
  3. Repeats - Straight, Halfdrop, Brick, Repaet-mirrored:Vertically and horizontally, Directional: One way, Two way, Multidirectional & Non-directional.
  4. Layouts - Tossed, Allover, Foulards, Ogee, Engineered, Border, Bayadere.
  5. Color application - Color Harmonies and color ways
  • Develop different thematic prints with the help of repeats & layouts for home furnishing – Bed Linen, table linen, curtains, sofa covers etc.      30 hrs
  • Scanning, Importing, saving and exporting images.                       10 hrs
